IWJS is now recruiting HGV Class1 & 2 Operatives and non-HGV Operatives to be based at our new Long Reach Depot in Dartford, to deliver within the Thames Water Framework.
Experience working within the waste water sector is preferred but not essential as training can be provided. Excellent rates and good conditions are available for the right candidates.

HGV Driver / Operator
IWJS have been providing waste management and industrial cleaning services across the UK continuously, day and night, since 1977. We are the preferred supplier to the major water utilities, infrastructure, industry, government agencies and domestic sectors. Due to an exciting and major new contract, we have the requirement for HGV Drivers / Operatives in the following areas:
JOB PURPOSE: To drive Jetting/Tanker Units to sites as instructed by Supervisor and in accordance with details on the Job Sheet. To carry out various cleaning duties ranging from Drain Cleaning, Wet Well Cleaning to Surface preparation, as per Job Sheet and Customer Instructions. Pressures to range from 1,000 P.S.I. to 10,000 P.S.I . Dependant on shift/ hours there may be a requirement to participate in ‘weekend call outs’ minimum 1 in every 5 weeks. To work at night and/or away as required.
HOURS OF WORK: A variety of working hours are available either, Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off. Tachograph Rules to be followed. In addition to normal hours of work, regular overtime is available.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Make sure that all safety equipment required is in good working order and also has the calibration date on the unit and ensure that any auxiliary equipment has been taken as per job sheet.
Make sure that relevant Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in the cab and the cab is kept tidy and in good order at all times.
When on site ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with method statements, being aware of the general public and if working on highway traffic movements.
Report any known problems to the Operations Team, arising from the day.
To carry out any reasonable request by management for which you are adequately experienced, qualified or trained.
TRAINING: Must have Class 1 or 2, other training will be given for the job to be carried out adhering to the Health & Safety policy, however confined space experience is advantageous.

Assistant Operative

To assist in carrying out various cleaning duties ranging from Drain Cleaning, Wet Well Cleaning to Surface preparation, as per Job Sheet and Customer Instructions. Pressures to range from 1,000 P.S.I to 15,000 P.S.I. Dependant on shift/ hours there may be a requirement to participate in ‘weekend call outs’ minimum 1 in every 5 weeks. To work at night and/or away as required.
